But... What exactly is forestry mulching?
Forestry mulching is a single-machine land clearing method that cuts, grinds, and mulches vegetation in one pass — simultaneously removing small trees, brush, and invasive plants and turning them into a layer of wood chip mulch deposited directly on the ground.
Unlike traditional land clearing, which involves bulldozers to push trees into piles, crews to cut and stack brush, and trucks to haul everything off-site, forestry mulching accomplishes the same result in a fraction of the time, with a single machine.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does land clearing / forestry mulching cost?
A: Land clearing and forestry mulching costs vary based on terrain, vegetation density, slope, access, and any obstacles like fencing, debris, or trash.
In general, pricing typically ranges from about $2,000–$3,500 per acre for most standard conditions. This includes labor and equipment, with final pricing confirmed after a site visit. In some cases, a mobilization fee may apply depending on the property’s location and accessibility.
How long will my project take to complete?
A: The timeline depends on the size of the area, how dense the vegetation is, and the terrain. Light brush on smaller areas can often be cleared in a single day, while thicker woods or uneven ground may take longer. For example, about 1 acre of moderately wooded land with small trees and brush typically takes around a full day to complete. Heavier, more densely wooded acreage may take longer.
We’ll assess your property and provide a clear time estimate before work begins.
Will your equipment damage my property?
A: Our forestry mulching equipment is designed to minimize ground disturbance while clearing your land. We use steel-tracked machines that distribute their weight evenly, reducing soil compaction and helping protect your lawn, driveway, and surrounding landscape. No land-clearing project is completely impact-free, especially in wet or steep conditions, but we carefully plan each job to minimize disturbance and leave your property in the best condition possible.
Our goal is to improve your land—not create more work for you.
What thickness of trees can you handle?
A: We can typically mulch trees and brush up to about 6-9 inches in diameter, depending on species and conditions. Forestry mulching is best suited for clearing understory, brush, and small to mid-sized trees rather than large timber. Please NOTE that we are not a tree removal service.
Will brush grow back?
A: Forestry mulching does not permanently prevent regrowth. In the first year, the mulch layer helps suppress weeds and slows new growth while it begins breaking down. Grasses and native plants often come back first.
Over time, especially without follow-up maintenance, brush and woody vegetation can gradually return depending on soil conditions, sunlight, and the surrounding seed bank.
